May 2019 – Philadelphia, PA.
McDay has announced its intention to attend the BIO Convention in Philadelphia June 3-6th. The team is fresh off last month’s attendance at Interphex in NYC, where meetings with editors and clients helped strengthen their unique position as one of the only strategic marketing communications firms focused on the drug development and manufacturing side of the biopharmaceutical industry.
“We are hearing it more and more often. That firms with highly technical solutions and products do not felt understood by today’s traditional ad agencies. Our approach is to meet clients with experienced staff who have been on the floors of these manufacturing facilities, understand cGMP, have walked FDA through facilities, or sat bench-side for years, eyeing up a new therapy headed for trial, and knowing that the performance of their chromatography column is holding them back. McDay people understand these challenges because we’ve lived it,” says Susan Stipa, McDay president, and a former process engineer for Roche. “We can then more easily translate client solutions for pharma editors and scientific journalists, who have come to trust that McDay delivers solid, innovative, and more importantly, non-salesy content for the articles they write everyday.”
The tri-state area welcomes BIO, an international high profile convention, to Philadelphia for the second time in five years, an acknowledgement of the area’s life sciences reach. The McDay staff will be participating in events with both LifeSciences BIO and Delaware BioScience and will host several clients, connecting them with the nearly 100 journalists who will also be in attendance.
In addition, on Tuesday evening of the BIO convention, McDay will co-host the Irish American Business Chamber Life Sciences Happy Hour (www.iabcn.org), to be held at Tir Na Nog in Philadelphia, walking distance from BIO’s Pennsylvania Convention Center’s location.
